Sessions 4.30.26 @ Stove Works | Danimal Pinson | TEDxChattanooga Salon
Open in Clue About this video
TEDxChattanooga Sessions has always been about the space between the notes: the stories, the vulnerability, the humanity behind the music. This year, alongside Stove Works, we deepened that experience by also inviting visual art into the room where we collectively explored the intersection of music and visual art. The musicians not only performed stripped down versions of their originals but also perform a brand new song in response to a piece of art in the gallery. During their sets, they performed next to that piece of art sharing the creative journey and the connection they discovered between sound and art. Danimal's setlist: 1. Calling out 2. Where was I Last Seen This Time (debut) inspired by "Where Was I Last Seen This Time" 3. Meet Me In The Silence Danimal Pinson is a psychedelic, beat-driven musical artist known for his innovative looping techniques that elevate his original compositions and songwriting. A cornerstone of the Chattanooga music scene, he has performed as a bassist with Strung Like a Horse, The Nim Nims, Up With the Joneses, The Fridge, and more. He also maintains three weekly residencies: Thursdays at Hoptown, Fridays at Barley, and Sunday Funday at Barrelhouse Ballroom. As the frontman and primary songwriter of Danimal Planet, he blends live instrumentation with layered rhythms and melodies to create an immersive, soulful sound. His newest album, Speak Easy, released on 4/4/2025, is his most ambitious project yet—step into the loop and experience songwriting and sound that’s alive, evolving, and entirely his own. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
