Redefining Possible with AI | Mukhlisa Fayzullo | TEDxASCSNAS Youth
Open in Clue About this video
Redefining Possible with AI In this inspiring TEDx Youth talk, Mukhlisa shares a deeply personal journey that began with loss and evolved into a passion for research, innovation, and artificial intelligence. After the tragic drowning of a family member, she set out to understand the problem on a global scale and discovered how AI could be used to help detect drowning and potentially save lives. Through her experience building an AI model, Mukhlisa explains key concepts such as machine learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, validation, and testing in a way that is accessible and engaging. More importantly, she explores the opportunities and ethical challenges that come with rapidly advancing technology, including concerns about bias, privacy, reliability, and human responsibility. This talk is a powerful reminder that technology is only as meaningful as the people who guide it. As AI continues to transform our world, the most important question is not what machines can do—but what kind of future we choose to build with them. Mukhlisa is a Grade 10 student at American School of Creative Science, Dubai. Mukhlisa is deeply passionate about self improvement, STEM, and just changing the world for the better. She has participated in EEG competitions and she and her team were runner ups. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
