500 Million Streams Started in Silence | Udit Saxena | TEDxIMTGhaziabad
Open in Clue About this video
Udit Saxena left a 9 LPA engineering offer to sit alone in a room with a Yamaha synthesizer. Then COVID hit, and the music industry froze for months. This talk traces what happened in between: not a breakthrough moment, but a slow, repetitive climb made mostly in private; showing up in silence, long before the world was listening. He calls it silence, refinement, and intent. Udit Saxena is a Mumbai-based music director, singer, and composer. Self-taught and eight years into a career he chose over a stable salary, his project Mausiq has crossed 150 million streams in India and 500 million globally. He has been nominated at the Radio Mirchi Freedom Awards and CMA, and in 2025 represented India at Doroga Na Yaltu in Russia. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
