E.g LITE<strong>R</strong>ALLY</li> <li>look for the consonant that precedes it - in 'literally' it's the T</li> <li>eliminate the vowel that sits in between - in this example it's the E</li> <li>form a consonant cluster with that consonant. - TR</li> <li>You've now got a shorter, easier to pronounce word: lit-TR-lee.</li> </ol>
