Why it's time to rethink what being a 'good' mother means with Heather Chauvin
O tym odcinku
My guest on this week’s episode wants you to know that you are worthy of living a life that feels good. She also wants you to know that you are capable of achieving that. But you need to make a conscious decision about how you show up for yourself. My guest is Heather Chauvin and after her youngest son was born she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. She shares how that really tough experience showed her how far away she was from living the life she actually wanted. Before going through treatment she decided that if she did survive, surviving wasn’t going to be good enough anymore. She wanted to feel alive. Well, she did survive that experience and she consciously started to re-parent herself and everything began to change in her life. She noticed everything in her life changed especially her children’s behavior. I love this episode it is such an incredible story. Her message is don’t wait. This episode is inspiring and also challenging at times because she invites us to questions our lives. Are we living or surviving? I hope you really enjoy it. We talk about: - How parenting is personal growth on steroids - What her new book Dying to be a Good Mother is actually about? - Her driving force - What was it like for her to be a mother before cancer - The insights she had after her cancer diagnosis - How to get the joy and freedom that you crave - What is energetic time management - What does it mean to feel alive? - How do you know if you are actually living and not just surviving? - Heather’s pyramid for life - How to take radical responsibility - Red, Green and Yellow zones to live by PARENTING IN A PANDEMIC - SERIES OF FREE ONLINE WORKSHOPS This episode is kindly supported by Tu.
