Angie shares a personal story of how childhood trauma, abusive relationships, and opioid addiction eventually led her to experience homelessness while pregnant. Together, Alex, Sarah, and Angie discuss the realities of domestic violence, the risks of leaving an abuser, and how trauma can shape a woman’s sense of self-worth. They also talk about the power of women showing up for one another, the impact of true community, and how we can better support the women around us.

If you would like to get involved with Harvest Home, please visit:

https://www.harvesthomela.org/callherdaddypodcast

If you or someone you love needs support, please reach out to any of the below resources:

The National Women’s Shelter Network

https://nationalwomensshelternetwork.org/

National Domestic Violence Hotline

Call: 800-799-SAFE (7233)

Text “START” to 88788

www.thehotline.org (https://www.thehotline.org/)

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network)

Call: 800-656-HOPE (4673) or text HOPE to 64673

www.rainn.org (https://www.rainn.org/)

National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline

Call: 1-866-331-9474

www.loveisrespect.org (http://www.loveisrespect.org/)

Crisis Text Line

Text HOME to 741741 for free, 24/7 confidential crisis support in English & Spanish

Unwell Foundation: https://iamunwell.com/foundation

Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
