Aman Bhargava and Vivek Matthew, co-founders of Diagram Chasing, spoke at TEDxBangalore Salon BUILD to ask an uncomfortable question: Is data journalism actually working? Aman Bhargava is a designer and developer with a deep interest in data visualization and maps. Vivek Matthew is an open-data enthusiast and active contributor to the OpenStreetMap project in India. Together, they founded Diagram Chasing in 2024 to build the kind of data-driven stories and tools they wished existed for India, practicing full-stack data journalism from raw datasets to the final interactive experience — with all code and data released publicly under open licenses.
