With his expertise in AI and finance, Professor Liu enlightens the crowd with his approach to solving real-world problems with novel technology. Assistant Professor in Finance, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Dr. Liu earned his PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on the cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence and large language models in finance. His research examines the impact of AI on financial markets, analyst behavior, and corporate disclosure, employing techniques such as text analysis and machine learning to systematically explore the generation, dissemination, and economic impact of information in financial markets. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Liu has extensive industry experience and serves as a strategic advisor for a private equity fund. Previously, he worked at Microsoft Online, optimizing algorithms for the MSN website, gaining hands-on experience in large-scale data processing and algorithm optimization. He has also conducted financial data mining at Wind Information and DBS Bank in Singapore.
