“A lot of people think feeding a family on a budget means sacrificing flavor, but that’s not true,” Maurice Levene, known as Chef Moe on TikTok, says. “The biggest thing I teach is how to extract as much flavor as possible from affordable ingredients.” Here are his top tips for doing just that: 1. Look for markdowns 2. Don’t overlook pantry staples 3. Build flavor before adding expensive ingredients 4. Salt to taste as you cook 5. Use every ingredient to the fullest 6.
