À propos de cet épisode
It's back to school! Do You Really Know is dedicating a special week to sport. Because moving and doing regular physical activity is important for our physical and mental health! Listen again to our episodes about sport! One of the biggest challenges that we have been facing and will be continuing to face in the coming years is protecting our planet. So it’s worth reflecting on how we can exercise in a more eco-friendly manner. We turn to exercise for leisure, entertainment and to stay fit and healthy, but not many people realize that the carbon footprint can be significant. Of course that’s particularly true for high-profile international sporting events, like the FIFA World Cup, which is taking place in Qatar this winter. But even for the vast majority of us who aren’t involved in professional competition, there are still things you can do to reduce the environmental impact of your exercise. Well I’ve been a gym member for years now; that can’t have much impact, can it?! What about clothing and accessories? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions !
