According to the Mental Health Foundation, one in six adults in the UK suffers from conditions such as anxiety or depression. However, when the figures are broken down by gender, it becomes one in five women, and one in eight men.  Although this discrepancy, became quite noticeable during the Covid-19 pandemic it was in fact already present. In England, the National Centre for Social Research, reports that a similar situation occurred during the economic crisis of 2008. Known as the "worry gap", it represents the emotional inequalities between the sexes.  So the worry gap is due to the pandemic? But men can have these problems too, can't they?
